Join Duo TexArkana for an evening of 21st Century Music for the clarinet and saxophone at Somerville Music Spaces! Clarinetist Timothy Hanley and Saxophonist Jarod Apple will be performing works by David Biedenbender, Kyle Henkel, Nadine Silverman, Alissa Voth, and world premieres of new works by Alyssa Morris and Julia Petrolongo! Admission is open to all, with a suggested donation of $15.

Ensemble Bio: Comprised of Texan clarinetist Timothy Hanley and Arkansan saxophonist Jarod Apple, Duo TexArkana is a new music ensemble based in Boston and New York City, dedicated to playing contemporary classical music, and particularly the works of living composers. The duo formed in 2024 as the pair were finishing DMAs at Rutgers University. Since its inception, they have performed across the American Northeast, including a conference performance at the North American Saxophone Alliance conference. Strong advocates for working with living composers, the duo has already commissioned and joined consortiums of several new works premiering in 2026.
